Emotional space between melodic depth and festival power.
APLEXO is the project of Alex Palamar, a Brooklyn DJ and electronic musician who spent two decades producing before letting any of it out of the room. It shows. His first release landed on Nora En Pure's Purified Records; everything since has stayed there.
The sound starts at the chords. Melody first, always, built to pull an emotional response before the drums ever argue for one. Progressions written on an Oberheim, beds sketched in the studio, vocals cut with singers who get sent nothing but a feeling. The result sits where Purified's dreamlike melodics meet peak-time festival weight, and it's drifting harder by the release.
2026 is the touring year. The room is stocked. The tracks are ready.
“I use the melody to create an emotional response for the listener.”
